BIAGGI

The enormous technical heritage of Biaggi's bike was being developed since Witteveen decided to give his faith into the hands of the 400cc engine, tested by Loris Reggiani first, and then by Romboni later. Witteveen was strictly convinced that the unit monocil. 200 cc was perfect to replay the 125 cc engine's behaviour by Aprilia, the golden point of Noale's Mansion and the state of the art as well.
So, he and his collaborators kept well fixed in their mind the target to maintain the measures of bore and stroke at 63,2 and 63,7 mms ca., but we know that it'wasn't for real( probably closer to 68 mms) and the 400 cc engine was just a little bit bigger than this; and that's the reason's why it's very difficult to trace a red line between the technical secrets and the technical rules of these finest races of all.

On the right, the World Champion bike in 1996 250 G.P., on the left the " Replica RSV " Clienti, 25 samples made. The tail is slope shaped, or drop shaped, and on both sides we see the absolute lack of air intakes, a solution developed by Aprilia engineers until then in 1996. The engine is 90 degrees V2, obviously.

INTRO

Buon 2010 a tutti!!
